Morten Thomsen Højsgaard, Ph.D., is general secretary of the Danish Bible Society. The Danish Bible Society is a not-for-profit church-based organization which publishes the authorized Bible in Danish, Faroese and Greenlandic on an ecumenical basis.

From 2005 to 2010 Morten Thomsen Højsgaard worked as editor of church and faith affairs at the Christian Daily (Kristeligt Dagblad). Prior to that he was Ph.D. student and assistant professor focusing on religion and new media at the University of Copenhagen. In 2000 he taught New Testament backgrounds at Aarhus University.  

Morten Thomsen Højsgaard is author of Den tredje reformation (The Third Reformation, 2011) and editor of several books, including Den digitale kirke (The Digital Church, 2003), Religion and Cyberspace (with Margit Warburg, 2005), and Gudstro i Danmark (Faith in Denmark, with Hans Raun Iversen, 2005).
